An inspirational speech

In my opinion, inspirational speeches might just be the most important type of speech there is. That is because these speeches might be able to inspire, to motivate someone to continue following what they believe in, or influence them to think in a certain way. Of course this is also a dangerous tool, if used wrongly.

A personal favourite speech of mine is this one, about "keep moving forward". Rocky Balboa uses this speech of only 47 seconds and he is able to make an impact. Why is this so? Personally, I feel there are many things to consider for this.

Firstly, topic. "Keep moving forward". At some point in our lives, we will defintiely face some obstacle. It can come in any form. But it is important to never back down from the challenge. This speech addresses that well, therefore it can be considered to have reach halfway to the point of success.

Secondly, Volume. Rocky increases his volume at important points to better draw the attention of the boy he speaks to. We don't know if it worked for the boy, but personally I was jolted back to the speech when he made his sudden increase in volume.

And finally, pace. He speaks quickly, yet at the same time clear enough. As a result, we can understand what he is saying while at the same time not being bored by a slow speed.
